- There are four three dimensional elements to the sculpture: the bronze head, the shopping bags, the umbrella, and we have added a fourth element, the piston of a steam train.
- The colour and finish of these elements are important - the bronze head will be visible from Freeport Shopping Village, so it needs to by shiny, reflective; the shopping bags need to have lots of colour; the umbrella will be a navy business type to add formality, and the piston will be aluminium cast resin.
- A local sculptor, Dave Taylor, specialist in resin casting, created the moulds when I had finished modelling the elements (the armatures were made by Alistair Hanman). He will be casting these and we'll be working together to ensure the colour, surface and quality of finish is what we want to achieve.
